Terms of service
Last updated 5 November 2026
These terms cover your use of Teardown.shop, (“we” or “us”). By using the quick score or requesting a teardown you agree to them.
What Teardown.shop is
Teardown.shop reviews the public pages of online stores and writes recommendations to help them sell more. The quick score is automatic. Full teardowns are researched and written by an AI analyst from screenshots, speed tests and page data collected from your store's public pages. We are independent and not affiliated with Shopify or any other platform.
What we look at
Only what any visitor can see: your storefront, product pages, cart and checkout up to the payment step. We never ask for admin access, never enter payment details and never place orders. Only request a teardown of a store you own or work on.
Recommendations, not guarantees
Our recommendations are our opinion, based on common patterns in online retail. We can't promise any change in sales or rankings, and you decide what to change on your store. Check changes before you make them live.
Founding and paid teardowns
- Founding teardowns are free. In return, we'll ask for honest feedback, and we may quote it (with your permission) on this site.
- Paid teardowns are a one-off $149 AUD, paid upfront. Refunds are covered in our refund policy.
- We aim to deliver within 48 hours. If we can't review your store (for example, it's password-protected), we'll tell you and refund any payment.
Your report
Your report is private, at a link only you receive. It's yours to use, share and act on. We won't publish a customer's report. Example teardowns on this site are our own independent reviews of public stores.
Fair use
Don't use the quick score to scan stores in bulk, or try to disrupt the service. We may limit or block automated use.
Your rights under Australian law
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Subject to those rights, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the teardown.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. They are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Questions: hello@teardown.shop.
